Battlefield 2042 is out for you to play, and it came with some bugs. While not every bug will disrupt your play experience, some might really make you want to stop playing. And one such bug is facing input lag on your mouse. This is very annoying for an FPS game because if you can’t aim properly then how are you supposed to enjoy the core game. But worry not as there are some ways you can fix it. So in this guide let us take a look at how to fix Mouse input lag and stutter issues for Battlefield 2042.

How to Fix Mouse Input Lag in Battlefield 2042

Go to your Settings and do the following changes.

  • Mouse & Keyboard
    • On Foot
      • Advanced
        • Uniform Soldier Aiming: Off (Turn it off)
        • Zoom Transition Sensitivity Smoothing: Off (Turn it off)
  • Controller
    • On Foot
      • Aim
        • Soldier Aim Assist: 0
        • Soldier Aim Assist Zoom Snap: 0
      • Advanced
        • Aiming Left/Right Acceleration: 0
        • Vertical Aim Ratio: 100
        • Vertical Zoom Ratio: 100
        • Coefficient: 178

While these above settings should fix this problem for most users you can also try these fixes if the above settings don’t work.

  • Reduce Polling Rate of your mouse: You must have gotten some software for the mouse to help reduce the polling rate. And depending on the mouse you use, you can also check their website for precise steps on how to reduce it. Regardless of however you reduce it, make sure it doesn’t go above 500Hz, and it is best if you keep it under 400 Hz.
  • Turn off V-sync: Turning off this setting can be a big help when trying to fix the above issue.
