If you are looking for the best CS2 surf servers to play instead of competitive matches, then don’t worry we have got you covered. Surf servers are a great way for players to pass time strafing around the different community maps. These community servers are available for everyone to join. So if you want to strafe around and play with your friends, here is everything you need to know about the surf servers in Counter Strike 2.
Are There Any Working CS2 Surf Servers?
Unfortunately, at the time of writing, CS2 does not have a dedicated Community Server Support making it unable to join surf maps. While there are sites hosting different community servers, the game has yet to receive official support. According to this Steam Community Discussion, Valve has confirmed that the support is coming soon. The community servers have not been playable since the launch of the game. Many players tried joining different servers only to come across “Unable to connect to Gameserver” error.
One of the reasons why Valve has not yet provided CS2 Community Server Support is because it is compatible with Source 2. Which makes CSGO community servers incompatible with the newly launched game. With that being said, Valve has given the option to join the Community Servers in CS2. Meaning they will soon add the support making them playable in a while. For players wondering how exactly to join a community server, here are the steps you can follow:
- Select the play tab from the upper side of your screen.
- Click on the globe icon next to the practice option.
- Once done, you will come across all the community servers.
- Select the surf server you want to join or search for it.
- After which click on it and hit connect.
- You will be able to join the Surf Server and strafe around.
We will update this guide with the list of best surf servers once CS2 receives the Community Server Support. Till then you can keep a tab on all of the updates of the game.
