How To Beat Child of Darkness Challenge in Midnight Suns [Guide & Tips]
The goal of the Child of Darkness challenge is to defeat three Whisper of Memory enemies and break two crystals for a chance at some valuable loot. First things first, you should note down the number of enemies and how to approach them. Check the image below for better understanding.
As soon as you reach the cosmic arena, you will realise that you have only 4 Charge cards in your hand. Hence, it’s best to use them wisely. Your first attack should be aimed towards the enemy on your left – Enemy A. Simply use one of your Charge cards to knock Enemy A backwards. This won’t kill him but that’s not your goal right now if you’re trying to beat the Child of Darkness challenge in Midnight Suns.
Next, use your second Charge card on Enemy B – the one closest to the wall. This will instantly kill Enemy B, leaving only two Whisper of Memory enemies in the arena. Now, use another Charge card on Enemy A. This will again not kill it but only knock it back. You will notice that Enemy A will now be directly parallel to the red crystal. But don’t attack it again, at least not for the next move.
Your next Charge attack should be used on the enemy farthest away from you – Enemy C. The attack will lead to the enemy’s KO instantly. This is because it was standing close to the wall. You will also receive a “Whip” card from Enemy C which will be very useful for the next few moves. Next, use the Charge card on Enemy A again. This will knock it back near the red crystal.
How to Break the Crystals in Child of Darkness
Now, use the new Whip card on Enemy A. This will instantly kill it and also destroy the red crystal. Finally, a purple crystal will appear on the cosmic arena. Use the Bladestorm card that you just received to destroy the purple crystal. With that, the Child of Darkness challenge will be completed. You will receive the Hunter’s Midnight Sun Legendary Combat Suit and the Legendary Bladestorm card for your efforts.
