If you have been excited for the potential release of BG3 on Xbox, there is some good news that we would love to shed light on. Larian Studios have now confirmed that the Baldur’s Gate 3 Xbox release date will be announced at the upcoming Game Awards 2023. Having already received widespread acclaimation, the game has been in development for an Xbox transition for a while now.

BG3 dropped back in August and the decision to avoid a clash with Starfield has been one to cherish for the developers. Arguably, Baldur’s Gate 3 deserves to win the Game of The Year award and it would be the perfect moment for the developers to announce the Xbox release date.

December 7 marks the date we get the winners at the Game Awards 2023 and Larian have chosen the perfect day to announce the Baldur’s Gate 3 Xbox release date. According to the tweet by the developers (below), the Xbox version of BG3 is still set to release in December 2023. Earlier, there were updates that the Xbox release was set to be in late 2023. While most fans feared of a shift to early 2024, this is welcoming news for them.

Although there are no DLC updates for Baldur’s Gate 3 ongoing, the prospect of getting it on Xbox will allow players to see what the fuss is all about. BG3 has garnered some of the highest Steam player count while also being the #1 Best Selling Pre-Order on PSN in the US. Considering the excitement and anticipation, we are likely to see a huge win for BG3 on Xbox as well.
