Last week we saw the official announcement of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, a new version of one of the most acclaimed video game series in the world. Soon after, it was confirmed that the title will also release on Stadia, Google’s game streaming service. However, despite all these announcements, we still did not have a specific release date for the title.
However, that seems to have changed thanks to a Scandinavian retailer, which appears to have accidentally leaked the game’s release date in stores. Everything indicates that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will hit the shelves in October, according to a leaked list. The release date was posted on the Reddit social network and is categorized as an “unconfirmed leak”.
As you can see above, the release date of the game will be October 16, 2020, on a Friday. Apparently, the store might have mistakenly put the specific date, but soon afterward it changed the date to “coming 2020”, which might give greater credibility that this would be the actual date of launch. The author of the topic confirmed the information provided, but declined to provide it, saying that showing it would impair the anonymity of the information provider.
According to reports, the mod on the Reddit thread had access to the images, who confirmed that they are authentic and show the published dates, but still need further confirmation. In any case, it is worth remembering that the latest Ubisoft titles were released on Fridays, so the date is long overdue in sense. Also according to the source, the cited retailer only publishes information after having access to it through official means, which brings more credibility to the leak.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. What do you think about its release date? Tell us in the comments below.
