Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: How To Go Fishing
First, head towards a water body like a river. When you press down on the D-pad, you can bring up the menu and move to the Fishing Line icon. With that equipped, you need to aim using L2/LT and cast a line using R2/RT. As it is in real-life fishing, you have to wait but hopefully not too long. When you feel a bite, quickly press R2/RT to hook the fish. As you can see in the image above, the position and movement of the fish will be clearly indicated.

The next step is to to control it while mashing X/A to pull it out. Do it correctly and you’ll reel it in but if you pull it too hard, you could snap the line and the fish will swim away. So, keep controlling the tension of the fishing line carefully. This is the simple process of fishing in AC Valhalla. If you prefer going the aggressive route, you can jump in water and melee attack the fish to catch them.
How to Use Fish?
First, you need to build a Fishing Hut in Ravensthorpe which will cost 600 Supplies and 45 Raw Materials to build. Once that is done, you will unlock the Fishing Line and then you can follow the process mentioned above. But that’s not the only purpose of the Hut – you can also sell rare fish and earn rewards if you give fish back at the Fishing Hut. Plus, they can be used in Shrine missions and you can eat fish to restore HP.
