You need Stamina to dodge enemy attacks in AC Valhalla. It is the blue bar below the HP bar on the bottom left section of the screen. Here’s how to increase your Stamina in case you are curious to know. If you have enough Stamina, you need to press the Square button (PS4), X button (Xbox One) to dodge attacks while moving the left stick in the required direction. This will use up a bit of Stamina so you need to use a light attack as soon as possible after dodging.

If you manage to let the Stamina bar refill during combat, you will be able to dodge enemy attacks in AC Valhalla again. Plus, even if you don’t land a hit, the Stamina bar will regenerate on its own but a bit slowly.
