Ark Fjordur is the DLC expansion of the Studio Wildcard action-adventure survival game Arc Survival Evolved set in an open-world environment. Your survival depends on your ability to build a base, with a fire and weapons and tame, and feed dinosaurs while collecting other resources. Desmodus is a bat-like creature that you will come across in the game. So let’s check out this location guide to see where Desmodus can spawn in the map and how you can tame him in Ark Fjordur.
Desmodus Spawn Location in Ark Survival Evolved
As mentioned earlier, Desmodus Draculae in Ark is a bat-like creature inspired by the real-world extinct species of the same name. So naturally, a bat-like creature will spawn in caves. We have narrowed down the Desmodus Ark spawn location to these few coordinates.
Start your search by going to 39.1 Latitude and 74.7 Longitude N, and looking for a waterfall. There is a path as you go through the waterfall which leads right to a Desmodus spawn location in Ark. You can find five or six of them in the cave which has nothing else.
The next location you can search for is the 90 Latitude and 78 Longitude. You can’t really miss the huge entrance to the cave. You will find another three to four Desmodus in here.
There is one more location where you can try looking for them and that is 50 Latitude and 14 Longitude N, on the shore. Additionally, at this location, there is a possibility of finding a few more creatures so make sure you kill these first before you try to catch Desmodus.

How to Tame Desmodus
Even though the question of how to tame Desmodus in Ark is quite commonly asked, it is not really a difficult task. Here’s the equipment we recommend you carry when you go to tame it at any of these locations:
- Harpoon Gun with Nets
- Shotgun
- Blood Packs
Once you attack one, the rest will come to attack you. Trap as many as you can with the nets and kill the low-level Desmodus. Then wait for the one you want to tame to escape the net and let him attack you and feed off the Blood Packs. Soon you will be able to tame Desmodus in Ark. So make sure you carry a lot of Blood Packs, around 200 of them.
