First, you have to unlock Area Zero by completing all the storylines. This area in the Great Crater of Paldea features version-exclusive Paradox Pokemon and a whole new biome. However, when you enter it with your friends, they turn invisible. That does not mean they have left the party. Due to some glitch or on purpose, you cannot see them. Speculations are made that this was intentionally done to preserve the version-exclusivity. But we have a fix for it. To play Area Zero with friends in Scarlet and Violet, you have to encounter a Pokemon at the same time. Here are the steps to do so.

  • Invite your friends to your Union Room
  • Then, head over to Area Zero and enter it
  • Once you are inside, select a place to gather
  • Communicate with your friends and stand in the exact same spot. It can be near a tree, rock, or any landmark.
  • Then, lure a Pokemon toward you
  • The Pokemon will see three targets along with you and encounter any one of them
  • Once it does, your friends will automatically turn visible

Now, you can explore the exciting Area Zero and its Pokemon with your friends. This method may be a glitch and may be patched soon.
