Apex Legends: How To Use A Heat Shield

Updated Date :

Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royale games released in 2020. Ever since its release, the developer of the game keeps updating adding new events, characters, and skins into the game. The latest event added to the game is ‘Chaos Theory Collection’, introducing a new peaceable device called Heat Shield.

Ever since the news of Heat Shield adding into the Apex Legends broke, there are tons of players who have been wondering what this shield is and how to use it in the game. If you too have the same questions in your mind then don’t worry, we have got you covered.

What Is Heat Shield in Apex Legends?

As we have mentioned above, Heat Shield is a peaceable device that can be thrown on the ground either outside of the ring or in a Ring Flare. Unlike other items in Apex Legends, it is stored in the single Survival Slot.

Notably, Heat Shield is a device that can be stacked up to two at the same time but if you have one in your hand then you would not be able to carry a Mobile Respawn Beacon. Finding Ring Shield in Apex Legends is not too complicated, you can find it during a ground loot or in Care Packages.

How to Use Heat Shields In Apex Legends

Heat Shields is a newly added survival item in Apex Legends. It will protect you from taking damage from the big, bad ring by building a safe dome. Once a protective dome is created, you will be safe regardless of whether you are outside of the ring’s safe zone or near the new Ring Flares.

The best thing about the protective dome is it increases the healing rate up to 50% and revive rate by 25%. It should be noted that these bonuses will only be availed for Heat Shields that have been created near the ring. Yes, you would not get these speed bonuses when your life is not in danger.

There is no denying that Heat Shields increases survivability in Apex Legends but it also takes damage from the ring. So, make sure not to set up camp outside the safe zone.

That’s everything you need to know about what Heat Shield is and how to use it in Apex Legends. While you are here, you might want to read about how to find top players and what is the best FOV Settings for Apex Legends.
