The launch of Anthem brought in a mixed bag of reviews, though the game is fun though, it does not sustain its magic for far too long and the recurring bugs and issues make the game extremely irritating at times, but going by the roadmap gives a glimpse into what will be coming to the game.
The developers have fixed a few of the issue since launch and though association with EA did not help instil confidence in players, the launch wasn’t half as bad as expected, like we have seen with Battlefront II.
The roadmap released shows the content that will be brought to the game in the coming 90 days which will define the future of Anthem. BioWare’s head of live service Chad Robertson said, “we understand that we have lots of work ahead of us to continue to improve the game,” and sharing the first 90-day roadmap that lays out its short-term plans for Anthem’s future.
“I look at today from two perspectives. As a gamer, I’m excited by what we’ve created with Anthem and the promise it carries for a long future behind the game’s lush world, immersive lore, rich characters, and core gameplay,”.
“As a developer, I know we’ve worked hard to strike a balance of engaging BioWare story combined with fun action-gameplay and multi-player progression; I also know how much more we want to bring to the game.”
The roadmap outlines the things will be introduced in Act 1 of Anthem which will wrap up in May.
The developers regularly stream videos on Twitch in which they outline new updates and features that will be introduced in the game, which seems to be a perfect way to engage with the target audience and have two-way communication with the community that the developers are serving to.
Robertson further added, “We’ll be talking in more detail about this roadmap in upcoming streams and social media. We also commit to sharing updates with you frequently and consistently. I look forward to hearing more of your feedback on our plans and the game overall.”
