How to Perform Combos Like A Boss – Anthem

Published Date :

Combos are two attack moves to cause high damage in Anthem performed together with an additional effect. It is necessary to learn and master them as quickly as possible. Anthem has two types of attack moves Primer and Detonator. Primer causes Elemental Damage like Ice, Acid, Fire or Lightning and Detonator is the second attack you use on the Primer enemy that triggers a combo.

Combos are a key aspect of fight in Anthem, you earn extra damage and kick off enemies faster. There are certain limitations to this attack, like in a group of a player, not all can perform Combos at one time, you can communicate to a player to perform Primer and then use a Detonator attack to get the extra damage. In this guide, you will learn How to Perform Combos like a Boss and info on the current four Suits (VIP Demo) Primer and Detonator abilities.

Combo attacks Tips and Tricks

If an enemy is carrying a shield break the defense or else your moves won’t deliver high damage.

How to use Combo attacks against strong enemies?

To perform a combo attack you have to first primer the enemy and then use the next weapon with detonator ability. This will unleash a special combo attack that causes additional damage and depends on every Javelin suite there is also some added bonus.

anthem-identify-primer-detonator-weapon

After equipping your load-out look on the bottom right of the screen for health meter along with Weapon Cooldown bars. Over the weapon icon if there is a circle with a dot inside then it is a Primer and if there is a sparkle icon then it indicates a Detonator move. Another way to learn about the two moves is to look your suite weapons and the same icons will be on the left of the weapon.

Benefits Of Combo Attacks For A Squad

I can recommend you a strategy that can help you out in a squad and perform a higher amount of combo’s attacks. This is possible for a squad, if you are in a group put one or two player to only perform Primer attacks, and others can use Detonators to unleash Combo damages. It will help you to wipe out enemies faster than using out of sync regular attacks.

Depending on the Javelin suit, you can get an additional bonus effect that increases your damage. It works differently for every suit. To learn more about the additional combo effect check the video below by Arekkz Gaming which is also our Guide source.
