The April update that fans of Animal Crossing New Horizons were waiting for is live and it has brought two little surprises with it as well. In ver. 1.2.0, ACNH has added the expected seasonal updates including Nature Day along with new characters that will visit your island.
Interestingly, New Horizons has also lowered the interest rate for all savings accounts in the Bank of Nook. Players will be notified of this via a letter from Tom Nook’s bank although it is still unclear by how much it is being reduced. It seems like Nintendo is trying its best to slow down the rate at which players can earn Bells.
As a consolation present, players will receive a rug shaped like a Bell bag. A World Map will also be given to players as a gift along with a letter from Nintendo thanking the players.
