The change in sensitivity with the Aim Assist is so slight that you may fail to experience it most of the time. However, it is a disadvantage for players who are used to playing with higher sensitivity. Moreover, if you are tracking an enemy with Aim Assist on, and in the meanwhile, another enemy passes through your crosshair, there are chances that you may lose the tracking of the original enemy. This is because the crosshair may pull you towards the enemy that just crossed.
Thankfully, the Aim Assist Legacy Mode in OW2 reduces the chances of such occurrences. To be precise, if you have Aim Assist Legacy Mode turned on, it won’t turn on Aim Assist (basically lower the sensitivity) if you are perfectly tracking an enemy. This allows the players to experience much smoother gameplay without even a smaller change.
