From Mantles to Boosters, Monster Hunter World has tons of specialized tools that will provide players with powerful buffs and effects. One such specialized tool is the Affinity Booster which will in turn increase your affinity while you are on the hunt for monsters. Raising your affinity will help you increase your weapon’s chance to deal a bonus or penalty to damage in the game. And players would much rather have increased Critical Chance than have the chance to Blunder.
However, players will need to complete some of the optional quests in order to get their hands on the Affinity Booster in Monster Hunter World. So if you are looking to place the smoker and increase the critical chance while battling monsters, then here is a guide you should check out further.
How to Unlock Affinity Booster in Monster Hunter World
To unlock and get Affinity Booster in Monster Hunter World, players will need to complete all the optional quests within the Research Base. There are a series of quests given by various NPCs within the Research Base that will help you obtain the booster. Each optional quest is given by a different NPC, so you will have to look forward to interacting with each one of them.
With that being said, you will have to trigger the quest chain by completing the optional quest A Tingling Taste in MHW. Since the quest doesn’t have a bubble mark, you will have to hunt down a high-rank Pukei-Pukei while simultaneously discovering a Great Girros in the game.
Once completed, all the subsequent optional quests would be triggered. Here is a list of all the other quests that you will need to complete to get Affinity Booster in MHW:
- A Master’s Toast – Given by Third Fleet provisioner.
- Stuck in their Ways – Given by Shy Scholar.
- A Fire Spewing Brew – Given by Cheerful Scholar.
- A Sore Site – Given by Airship Engineer.
- RRRRRumble in the Waste! – Given by Third Fleet Master.
Once you have completed all the above quests, you will have to interact with the Third Fleet Master once again. She will hand over the Affinity Booster in Monster Hunter World. It is worth mentioning that you can get your hands on the upgraded version of the booster, once you complete the Master Rank optional quest The Storm Brings The Unexpected. However, you will need the Iceborne expansion to get started with the quest.
