Previously, you had a 1600 item storage limit in Animal Crossing New Horizons, but now you can go up to 2400 slots. That’s 800 more, perfect for holiday season! Do note that this is possible only if you have upgraded your house completely and have no debts left.
Here’s how to expand home storage to 2400 in ACNH:
- Go to Resident Services
- Talk to Tom Nook
- Talk about your home
- Select Expand my Storage
That’s it. He will tell you how expanded storage will help you store more things than you can currently store. It’s not for free though because you have to pay 500,000 Bells upfront. Being the businessman that he is, Tom Nook will say that it’s a small price to pay for the peace of mind of getting extra item storage space.
Once you are sure of this, go ahead and select “yes, let’s do it!” and pay him the amount. He will inform you that all the work will be done by the next morning. When you check the mail, you will get the letter which says that the construction on your home-storage expansion is complete!
