    the division 2 skills

In Division 2 right after the introductory mission, you are led to select which skill to unlock, and for those who are new to the game this can be a bit confusing to understand what will help them in the game.

Worry not though, this guide will cover what skills to unlock first and the use of the particular skills.

There are a total of 8 skills in The Division 2

    Pulse
    Turret
    Hive
    Chem Launcher
    Firefly
    Seeker Mine
    Drone
    Shield

    What skill to unlock first

As per our test, it revealed to us quickly what skills will be beneficial to you earlier in the game and what can be unlocked later on.

The first skills you will need the most is the given in this order

    Drone
The drone is a lifeline in the early stages of the game as you are getting used to enemies coming at you from all the side, this handy drone when deployed will chase enemies and take them down.

    Pulse
This skill will help you highlight enemies which can be hard to locate in the mayhem that ensues in the game. A scanner which will show you where each and enemy is located.

    Turret
Another attacking skill which gives your character a secondary fire option when deployed, turrets can draw fire and attack enemies while you can take a breather to heal yourself.

    Chem Launcher
This skill produces a small cloud that can heal you and your armor, this is a very useful piece of skill as you progress in the game.

    Seeker Mine
A small drone that you can drop on the floor, this skill will seek out enemies and explode when in contact with them.

    Shield
A useful tool that may not get the recognition it deserves, this skill acts as a physical barrier that can take heavy damage. You can only use sidearms with this skill.

    Hive
A skill similar to a seeker mine, but this will draw enemies closer and launch projectiles at them taking down multiple hostiles in the process.

    Firefly
This skill is another variant of the drone which blinds enemies, giving you the upper hand and making it easier for you to take them down.

This has been our experience, but you can try it out for yourself and see what works best for you.
