The Terraria 1.4.5 Update release date has been confirmed to be anywhere in the year 2024. In this Steam Community Thread, the developers at Re-Logic Studios confirmed that they would be eyeing for 2024 release as they are working to improve and add more additional content.
There are quite a few things that the devs had planned for the update and they are focused on completing them before they call the update thoroughly completed. They assured that the update will be worth it and players will have to hang around for a bit longer for the release.
The crossover feature will include items, weapons, outfits, etc from the hack-and-slash roguelite Dead Cells. Here are some of the additions that we will see in collaborations with the world of Metroidvania:
- Vanity outfit of the Beheaded, the protagonist of Dead Cells.
- Hanging flasks that can display items in a similar way to Item Frames.
- Flint, a melee weapon.
- Ranged weapon.
- Magic weapon.
- Mushroom Boi minion.
- Barnacle sentry.
- Health Fountain furniture item that gives the player a buff.
Along with the crossover features, there is a ton of new content that players will get to experience with the new Terraria 1.4.5 update. The additional content will include several different types of whips, new Hallowed Armor themed and Aetherium Furniture sets, Shimmer Water Gun, Tranformation Mount, etc. Some of the other things include a new seeds menu that will allow players to mix different secret world seeds in the game. One of the interesting things to watch out for would be the transformation into a vampire bat.
There will be new graphical effects for the sun and clouds in the new update. Overall there will be a variety of content available for players to access.
