Grounded: Where To Find Moths

Defeating Moths will get you ingredients for the Moth Armor Set. In this article, we will tell you where to find Moths in Grounded.

Grounded is a survival game by Obsidian Entertainment, where you will hunt, gather, and fight hostile creatures. Since you are shrunk to the size of an ant, these creatures are your everyday insects. Like any survival game, you can gather resources from these insects and use them to build weapons, armor, etc. Every insect resource will have its own specialties. So it is advantageous to collect them all. In this article, we will tell you where to find Moths in Grounded.

Where to Find Moths in Grounded

Moths are one of the neutral insects in the game. They won’t attack you unless provoked. But don’t be under the misconception that they are weak. They can put up a good fight and even kill you if you are not well prepared. Their elemental weaknesses are Fresh, Sour, and Spicy.
You can find Moths in these locations:

  • On the Garden Lamp (Upper Grasslands)
  • On the Wheelbarrow (South-most point of Upper Grasslands)
  • On the tip of the Fallen Stump (Far-east side of Upper Grasslands)
  • On Green Slime Tower (Castle Mordorc Playset)

Why Fight the Moth?

Since Moths are neutral insects, you might be wondering why you should not just leave it be. Once you defeat a Moth, it will drop Moth Scale and Moth Fuzz. These are necessary ingredients to craft the Moth Armor Set.
Ingredients needed to craft the Moth Set Armor:

  • 2x Moth Scales
  • 12x Moth Fuzz
  • 10x Lint Rope
  • 5x Pupa Leather
  • 4x Pond Moss

You can craft individual items like the Moth Wrap, Moth Robes, and Moth Leggings. Crafting and equipping the whole set will give you a set bonus: Wind Run. This will increase your character’s mobility speed after a ranged attack.
