In Pikmin 4, Swarm is a returning feature that is renamed and re-introduced as ‘Form Line’. By using this technique, you can save some time and effort for yourself. Wondering how? It basically allows you to select and use multiple Pikmins at once. So you don’t have to select each Pikmin individually and get them to work. As mentioned, you need to have the Lineup Trumpet to Swarm or Form Line in Pikmin 4. Once you have it, simply hold ZL and move the right stick on the controller to move multiple Pikmins at once. You must complete the Music of a Past Culture 3 side mission to unlock the Lineup Trumpet in Pikmin 4. In this side mission, you’ll have to collect 13 Treasures in the Soulful Musician Series. Once you have collected all the above 13 Treasure, you will successfully complete the Music of a Past Culture 3 side mission. And you’ll finally be able to get your hands on the Lineup Trumpet and Swarm (Form Line) in Pikmin 4.
