God of War Ragnarok has numerous kinds of weapons, armor, and gear that will help you get past the challenging bosses. While you are aware of the common weapons and gear from God of War (2018), there are certain new gears that you would like to explore. For instance, there are multiple Relics that you can equip and use in battle. Since many people aren’t aware, in this guide we will show you how to use Relics in God of War Ragnarok. While you will have to play through a little before you can unlock a relic, you will be able to get 14 at the end. How to Use Relics in God of War Ragnarok

Relics and Sword Hilts are special moves and using them is quite advantageous while facing tough opponents. As mentioned earlier, there are 14 of these that you can get across the nine realms. All of these have different uses and powers for Kratos however, finding all of them will take time.

Nevertheless, the way to use them is the same for each of them. So if you are looking to use Relics in God of War Ragnarok, simply hold L1 and press Circle. Make sure to keep your eye on Legendary Chests.

All Relics & Their Location in GoW Ragnarok

Since there are 14 Relics in God of War Ragnarok, you will need the location if you intend to find and use them:

  • Talisman of Meign – You can unlock this in Quest For Tyr, part of the main story.
  • Glaive of Dodher – You can unlock this during the Reckoning mission after defeating Fiske.
  • Hilt of Dainsleif – During the Lost Treasure, collect Sevfnthorn and craft this Relic at the Hudra Brothers’ workshop.
  • Hilt of Gram – While in the Temple of Light, you can unlock it in Groa’s Secret.
  • Hilt of Skofnung – During the King’s Grave, unlock this relic by defeating Hrolf in Midgard.
  • Hilt of Angrvadall – Defeat the Gravel Belly in the Desert Door Favor and then craft it with Skirnir’s Gambanteinn.
  • Hilt of Ridill – Defeat the Olaf Nautson in the Animal Instincts Favor and then craft it with Crackle of Bilskirnir.
  • Hilt of Hofud – While in Vanaheim, you can unlock this by defeating Heimdall during Creatures of Prophecy.
  • Hilt of Forsbrandr – While completing the Favor the Eyes of Odin, you can unlock this by defeating the Raven Keeper.
  • Huldra Project – Craft this at a Blacksmith shop for 10,000 Hacksilver.
  • Hilt of Tyrfing – Defeat the Blatonn in the Abandoned Village and then craft with Nar’s Cup.
  • Mystical Heirloom – You can find it in the Lake of Nine region in Midgard behind a wall of ice that you can destroy with your spear.
  • Motsognir’s Call – You can find it on the top floor of the Aesir Prison Wreckage in Niflheim.
  • Hilt of Hrotti – While in the Plains in Vanaheim, you can get this by defeating the 2nd & 3rd Oath Guard boss.
