To begin with the quest to defeat Magus in Guardians of the Galaxy GOTG, you will need to sprint straight towards the direction of Nikki’s shield in order to avoid dying immediately. Once safe, Magus will send out creatures that resemble shadows to kill you. Since these shadow creatures have no weaknesses and are easy to kill with a few blaster shots, you need not worry. All you need to do when tackling these creatures is avoid the purple projectiles, which you will find hurtling towards you at speed. Doing so will not be that difficult, because you will be able to see where these projectiles land.
After smashing through enough opponents, you will have the chance to choose between appealing to Warlock or pestering him. We recommend you choose to badger him, as doing so will help you avoid instant death. Now, you will need to sprint right back towards Nikki’s shield. You will need to repeat the initial few steps all over again. Now, you will come across the choice of either recalling the good times or confronting him. You need to select the choice to confront him.
Now, you will find yourself battling Magus in a quick-time event. You will find the relevant buttons on the screen, and you will need to press them at the right time in order to bounce the Soul Stone. As soon as Star Lord gets his hands on the Soul Stone, he will attempt to bottle Mogus. When you receive the next button prompt, you will need to make sure you keep pressing the relevant button repeatedly. You will need to do so until the prompt disappears from your screen.
