Rune Factory 5 is a Role-playing Simulation game where you have to tasks in & around the Town of Rigbarth. One such task is taking care of the Monsters you tame. Yes, you can tame monsters in this game. Calling them Monsters is a bit of a stretch as most of them are cute little fellows. To take care of them, you will need to feed them Fodder. Fodder is a Resource in the game that your tamed Monsters consume. In this guide, I will show you how to get Fodder in Rune Factory 5.
Fodder in Rune Factory is a renewable resource item. Once you clear out the Whispering Woods, Ryker will request you to build a Monster Barn. After you complete that, you will unlock the Fodder Seeds in the General Store. You can buy the Seeds for 30g and plant them in your plot. Fodder Seeds take 4 in-game days to grow. You will be indicated by a golden arrow on top of them once they are harvest-ready. Once you have harvested enough Fodder, you will be able to feed your Monsters.
You can take the Fodder and put it in the Fodder Bin. Here is where your Monsters will go and eat. If you want you can put them individually in the Bin or just dump an inventory’s worth of Fodder. Don’t worry about buying more Seeds as they will not be removed when you harvest them. All you have to do from here is to wait till they are harvestable again. The only time you have to buy more Fodder Seeds in Rune Factory 5 is when you’re expanding the Farm.
