Surtling Cores are used to craft and upgrade many items like craft \u201c<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gamertweak.com\/how-to-get-smelter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Smelter<\/a><\/strong>\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/gamertweak.com\/how-to-find-iron-valheim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Iron<\/strong> <\/a>or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gamertweak.com\/valheim-tin-copper-ore-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Copper<\/a><\/strong> from their ores) and \u201c<strong>Charcoal Klin<\/strong>\u201d to convert wood into coal (5 each time). They can be a bit hard to find in the world of Valheim if you don\u2019t know where to look for them. So let\u2019s where to find Surtling Cores in Valheim.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Get Surtling Cores in Valheim?<\/h2>\n<p>Surtling Cores can be found in\u00a0 Valheim in 3 different ways. You can find them in <strong>random chests<\/strong>, as <strong>Surtling drops<\/strong>, and in <strong>various dungeons<\/strong> like burial chambers.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can <strong>find Surtling Cores in<\/strong> various <strong>dungeons<\/strong> like burial chambers. There will be a lot of enemies like ghosts and skeletons guarding the treasures in them. Slay and keep going deep into these dungeons. You can get your hands on lots of <strong>Surtling Cores<\/strong> in such dungeon grindings.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure to <strong>open and check<\/strong> out all the<strong> chests<\/strong> you come across in Valheim. If you are lucky them you can<strong> find Surtling Cores in them<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Find and <strong>kill Surtlings<\/strong> for <strong>they drop Surtling Cores<\/strong> when killed. But be wary as their <strong>ranged attacks<\/strong> are very threatening to you. Their <strong>fireballs<\/strong> can set you on fire inflicting damage over time ignoring your armor.<br \/>\nTheir entire body is engulfed in flames so they are easier to be noticed from afar during nighttime. Your fire arrows won\u2019t deal any damage to them. The best way to kill them is to<strong> lure them to nearby water bodies<\/strong>. Water <strong>deals<\/strong> them <strong>lots of damage<\/strong> but rainfall in Valheim won\u2019t affect their health during your battle.
