The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy, including Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas released on Netflix on December 14, 2023<\/strong>, and this has proven to be quite a boon for the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported by MobileGamer.biz<\/a><\/strong>, the Netflix Mobile release of the trilogy has completed a milestone of 18 million downloads on iOS and Android<\/strong> combined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most popular game of the trilogy, according to Appmagic, is San Andreas with 11.6 million downloads in total, Vice City comes second with 3.1 million downloads and Grand Theft Auto 3 is the third one with 2.4 million downloads and counting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On January 23, 2024, Netflix revealed information about the success of GTA Trilogy on the platform with a letter to shareholders<\/a><\/strong>. Check it out in its entirety to get a sneak peek into Netflix’s plans, goals, and growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the games, they write, “While it\u2019s still early days for our games offering, engagement tripled last year<\/strong> \u2014 and despite games still being small, and certainly not yet material relative to our film and series business, we\u2019re pleased with this progress. For example, in Q4, we debuted the Grand Theft Auto trilogy from Rockstar Games. This has become our most successful launch to date in terms of installs and engagement, with some consumers clearly signing up simply to play these games.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per MobileGamer.biz, the top games on Netflix before the GTA trilogy dropped, were Asphalt Xtreme, Stranger Things: 1984 Bowling Ballers, and Exploding Kittens.
