You will begin the fight with Godfrey the First Elden Lord. Once you bring half of his health down he will begin his second phase. In the second phase, you will fight Godfrey Hoarah Loux Warrior. Below are all the moves in both his phases that you should be aware of.<\/p>\n<h3>Godfrey First Elden Lord moves<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Jump and axe throw:<\/strong> <strong>He will jump towards you and throw his axe towards you in an attempt to cleave you in half<\/strong>. You can dodge this attack by rolling underneath the attack or running forward to the location where he jumped from.<\/li>\n<li><strong>3 combo slash:<\/strong> <strong>He will make two diagonal slashes one from the left and the other from the right. Finally, he will do one horizontal slash<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Foot stomp:<\/strong> <strong>Godfrey will try to crush you with its foot by doing a stomp if you are too close. This attack also does AoE damage as rocks spurt out from the ground for a short distance.<\/strong> You can roll to the side to dodge it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jump and axe stomp:<\/strong> This jump isn’t as big as his first move. <strong>He will jump and smack his hammer on the ground<\/strong>. This attack releases a small shockwave after hitting the ground.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ground split: Godfrey will slash his axe in the ground. This will cause it to split and release golden-yellow energy.\u00a0<\/strong>This attack is done in a straight line but covers a lot of area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other than the above-mentioned moves Godfrey will do various slashes. Once you learn them keep attacking and you take his health down in no time. After you reduce his HP to half, you will see a cutscene play. This will be your cue for the 2nd phase.<\/p>\n<h3>Godfrey Hoarah Loux Warrior moves<\/h3>\n<p>During this form, Godfrey doesn’t use any weapon for fighting, but still, his moves are very dangerous. When not careful he can easily one or two-shot you if you get caught by his attacks.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Throw and powerbomb:<\/strong> He will lunge at you and try to grab you. If he does connect the attack, <strong>he will launch you in the air and follow it with a powerbomb and smash you to the ground<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Roar:<\/strong> <strong>Godfrey Hoarah Loux will roar at you.<\/strong> This attack does AoE damage. You should try to run away from this attack.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kick and grab:<\/strong> <strong>He will kick you and follow it up by trying to grab you.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Foot stomp and grab:<\/strong> <strong>He will stomp one of his feet on the ground and try to grab you<\/strong> as a follow-up.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Charged ground smash:<\/strong> You can identify this move when Godfrey raises both his arms and right leg to charge this attack. <strong>He will thrust the ground with both his hands.<\/strong> This attack does AoE damage and covers a lot of area.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ground punches and shockwave:<\/strong> <strong>He will make a big jump and punch the ground. He will punch the ground two or three more times after landing. Next, he will begin charging the ground you can recognize the range of the attack by the golden glow from the ground. Finally, he will release the charge and make the ground erupt a bit.<\/strong> This is perhaps one of the most dangerous attacks on this list as the shockwave charge covers a big area.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cross slash grab:<\/strong> <strong>Godfrey will ready his hands in an X and charge the player. If this attack connects he will launch the player and again grab them mid-air and smash them to the ground with a powerbomb.<\/strong> This move probably does the highest damage compared to all the other moves in this phase.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Upgraded foot stomp:<\/strong> <strong>He will do a foot stomp that has a bigger shockwave than the one in his first phase.\u00a0<\/strong>You can dodge it by rolling away from it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other than the above moves he will occasionally try to slash the player. Godfrey becomes very fast in this phase. Although, a good thing is you can get plenty of chances to attack him in between his attacks.<\/p>\n<h3>How to Cheese Godfrey in Elden Ring<\/h3>\n<p>There are two ways to beat Godfrey using cheese in Elden Ring.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mage characters:<\/strong> <strong>Use the Mimic Tear Ashes of War to summon your clone spirit<\/strong>. Let it attack up close while you can go back and <strong>use either Rock Sling or Comet Azur sorceries<\/strong>. Spam the spells until you eliminate him.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Melee characters:<\/strong> <strong>Melee characters can cheese Godfrey First Elden Lord &amp; Hoarah Loux Warrior by guarding all the attacks using a Greatshield.<\/strong> You can use any Greatshield of your choice as all his attacks are physical and don’t do status damage. You can also equip the Green Turtle Talisman and use the Barricade shield ash of war. While this method isn’t exactly a cheese but using this technique you can greatly negate almost all his attacks.
