Cuprite is one of the Epic ores in The Forge, known for its strong forge multiplier and value. It’s a reliable mid-game resource that becomes especially important once you move deeper into the Forgotten Kingdom and volcanic regions. If you’re looking to improve your damage output or craft better gear, Cuprite is a material you’ll be farming often.

What is Cuprite in The Forge?
Cuprite is an Epic-tier red ore known for its crimson appearance. In The Forge, it is:
- Rarity: Epic
- Drop Rate: Around 1 in 303 from eligible nodes
- Forge Multiplier: 2.43x
- Sell Price: $36.45
- Trait: None
While it doesn’t offer a unique trait, its high multiplier makes it a good choice for mid-to-late game forging.
Where to Find Cuprite

Cuprite becomes available once you reach World 2: The Forgotten Kingdom, particularly the volcanic regions.
You can get Cuprite from:
- Basalt Core nodes
- Basalt Vein nodes
- Volcanic Rock nodes
The best places to target are:
- Forgotten Kingdom mining zones (where Basalt rocks are common)
- Volcano / Volcanic Depths (a high-density zone for Basalt Veins and other epic ore drops)
If you want reliable Cuprite, stick to areas where Basalt is the dominant rock type.
Farm Inside the Volcano
The volcanic zone has a dense concentration of Basalt-based nodes, increasing your number of chances per run. This also puts you near other Epic and Legendary ores, making the trip more rewarding even when Cuprite doesn’t drop.
Use Mining Routes
Instead of exploring randomly, you can follow a route through known Basalt clusters. Consistently clearing and resetting the route increases your ores-per-minute, which directly increases your Cuprite gains.
Use Totems or Luck Buffs (If Available)
Anything that increases node spawn density or your overall drop frequency will help you get more Cuprite over time. Even though it doesn’t change the base chance, it increases how often you roll that chance.
